Swine Flu Symptoms

May 7, 2009

Talk about the Swine Flu has been primary news for weeks now everywhere across our nation. As the threat of getting Swine Flu has beomce a reality for Americans, one of the biggest questions racing through everyone’s mind is “What are the Swine Flu Symptoms?” Unfortunately, there aren’t any symptoms that are unique to this strain of the Swine Flu. All the symptoms you may experience are similar to those symptoms that are commonly associated with regular seasonal flus. These include coughing, sore throat, headache, body ache, fever, chills, and fatigue. As the illness progresses and becomes more advanced, some additional symptoms may include uncontrolled vomiting and diarrhea.

Since the cases of Swine Flu in the United States have been fairly mild and few in number, the probability of getting this strain of Swine Flu remains very low; however, this poses a serious threat to those who experience normal flu symptoms that do not improve, and they neglect to do anything thinking it’s just a seasonal flu. It would be beneficial to see a doctor if you experience prolonged symptoms of the flu to ensure that you are protected against the Swine Flu.

Everyone should be well aware that the best thing you can do to avoid getting sick with the Swine Flu or any other flu is to stay away from those who are already sick, and frequently wash your hands (or use a hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available)
